Metro Phase-4: Construction of the first corridor begins soon.

The first contract for construction of 10 stations of Janakpuri West and RK Ashram Marg Corridor under the Metro Phase-4 project has been issued. 10 metro stations will be constructed within a radius of 28.92 km from Janakpuri to RK Ashram Marg corridor.

This corridor is an extension of the magenta line, which is targeted to be completed in 30 months. With the completion of this corridor, the facilities for passengers traveling on the magenta line will be significantly increased.

Construction will start by the end of November. 10 elevated metro stations will be constructed in this corridor. These include Keshopur, Paschim Vihar, Piragadhi, Mangolpuri, West Enclave, Pushpanjali, Deepali Chowk, Madhuban Chowk, Prashant Vihar, and North Pitampura stations.

DMRC was approved for three corridors under Phase-4. The tender was released after the outline was prepared, which was awarded on Wednesday.

The construction of Janakpuri West-RK Ashram, Maujpur-Majlis Park, and Aerocity-Tughlakabad Corridor have been approved in three corridors. Other construction works, including development, design, ramp, station building, siding line, will be done for the newly elevated stations.
